With over 40 years in the pension field, Mark specializes in design options available under qualified retirement plans.

Mark is a frequent speaker at both national and local seminars on retirement plan design options, D.C. attended by Pension Actuaries from across the U.S.

A life-long Pittsburgher, Mark is a 1976 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, earning a B.A. degree in Mathematics. In addition to his duties at DBZ, Mark is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA), and an Enrolled Actuary. Mark is a past Board member of ASPPA (7 years), the American Academy of Actuaries (2 years), and president of ACOPA (2012-2013). He is currently a member of the Council on Professionalism for the American Academy of Actuaries, and a representative to the International Actuarial Association.

In his down time, Mark is a nature enthusiast. He enjoys walking and hiking with his dog, as well as amateur photography.
